Empowering Minds through ABA
Art of Intelligent Minds has been serving the Yuma community for three years, providing psychological evaluations and supporting thousands of families seeking clarity, answers, and direction.
Again and again, we see the same gap:
“We finally have a diagnosis… but what support is there now—especially for teens and adults?”
While Yuma has several strong early intervention resources for young children, there are very limited services for adolescents and adults who are autistic or otherwise neurodivergent. Many individuals and families are left without practical, ongoing support to help them navigate daily life after diagnosis.
Empowering Minds through ABA is our upcoming program designed to help fill that gap through evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services.
What Is Empowering Minds through ABA?
Empowering Minds through ABA will provide behavior-analytic services for adolescents and adults who are autistic or neurodivergent. Services will be developed and delivered by, or under the supervision of, licensed behavior analysts, consistent with Arizona law and professional standards.
Our program will focus on:
Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) to understand the “why” behind behaviors
Individualized ABA treatment plans based on assessed needs and family priorities
Teaching adaptive living skills (e.g., organization, self-care routines, daily independence)
Supporting social and communication skills in real-life settings
Building emotional regulation strategies using behavior-analytic principles
Caregiver and family training to promote consistency and success across environments
Generalization and maintenance of skills at home, school, work, and in the community
Our ABA services will emphasize dignity, assent, and collaboration—using data-driven, behavior-analytic strategies to help individuals reach meaningful goals while honoring their identity and neurodivergent strengths.
